• Make sure to finish the factoring questions that you were unable to finish during class time.
• Investigating Plants Around Our School Part II will be due on Monday October 6.
• For those of you who are still owing me any work or if you plan on fixing up any of your work get in in ASAP please because some of you are falling behind already. Remember to take a look at your marks on the marks section of this website.

• You should be working on Part II and Part III of Our Home and Native Land project. If you have not handed your notes in yet please make sure that they get in because technically they were do a few days ago.
• For those of you who have not completed, or forgot to hand in your Visual Poetry assignment please get it in because it too is now late.

Video Production

• All of your scripts should now be completed and put in my hand in box and you should be working on creating your characters and backgrounds for your cartoons.

• Math quiz tomorrow September 30. Make sure you study the sections that you struggled with when we used the Senteo clicker system today.
• Science – Make sure that the charts for part two of the Investigating Plants Around Our School project are being worked on at home also. I will give you one more class this week to complete that section as you have already had two full periods.

• We are very disappointed with most of your efforts on the Visual Poetry Assignment. You were given three full periods of class time for many of you the work you handed in did not show good use of the time. Please take a look at your marks, and remember to use your class time wisely so that your marks can improve in the future.
• Make sure that you finish your research notes for your Canada project for tomorrow September 30 as we need to start working on the next part of the project.

Video Production

• Your scripts should now be completed and handed in to my drop box. Make sure that you check your formatting and that you also name the file properly. Remember that anything you hand into your teachers on the computer should be named liked this: full name – assignment name (Jeremy Lang – Book Adaptation Script.doc).
• If you are not finished yet then get it done by next class as we are starting to create our characters and backgrounds and we are hoping to start filming soon as well.

• Make sure that you bring a novel to class every Monday and Wednesday. It should be a book that you are reading and not a new book each class.

• Remember that I allow you to redo your work so that you can improve your mark. The reason I do this is because we are looking for mastery not just completion.
• Math – Please have the Exponents and Powers worksheet finished for tomorrow as we will be going over it.
• Science – All of your sketches for “Investigating Plants Around Our School” should be coloured for tomorrow. You will have time in class to label them. Overall I am very disappointed with the effort put into Part 1 of this assignment. I recommend that most of you fix up this first part to bring your mark up. Go to the mark section of the website and take a look on how you are doing.

Video Production

• You will have two more periods of class time to complete your Children’s Book Adaptation Scripts. This means that they should be finished at the end of Monday’s class. If you are not sure what to do or if you need help please ask.
