I would like to remind all students to stay on top of your work in this last term and to use your class time wisely so that you do not fall behind. I know that in my classes I have had to schedule until the end of the year to ensure that I can cover everything. As a result we are unable to miss a day and I can not provide you with any extra time so please do your best to stay on task.

- Continue working on your Blogs by answering the questions posted on May 11 and also by presenting your planned proposal that you worked on with Ms. Munroe.
- Your next reading response journal is due tomorrow Wednesday May 19.
- I handed out the Final Project Presentation schedule. All names were drawn at random. You must be ready to go on the day that you are expected to present on. If you are not ready you will be presenting with whatever it is you have that day. If you are away on the day that you present then you will be the first one to present on the day that you return. Please look over the rubric, part three of the project, and the checklist to ensure that you are doing everything that is needed and so that you will be prepared. You will have Thursday’s class to continue working on this part of the project.

If you are away then you will be expected to hand it in on the day that you return. 8-CHA
- If you are not finished the rough draft of your short story then you are behind as we have already begun editing and proofreading it. Please finish editing and proofreading your draft yourself, using the rubric as a guide to help you focus your editing and proofreading. On Thursday May 20 we will continue with this process by working on peer editing.
- Come prepared to work tomorrow on your element of culture for your Japanese group. On Thursday we will have the cultural celebrations so you must be ready to present what you have done.
