Thank you to everyone that came out over the three days. It was great to see parents and students come to discuss learning and show off some pretty amazing things. If you were unable to attend but would still like to talk to me please send me an email and we can set up a time to do so.
There were some questions about our new assessment policy and how this reflects the learning of the students. I encourage everyone to go to the Parent Section of our site and read some of the literature in there about it. I pushed for this over the last two years, pushed for it at our Administrative Retreat near the end of last year, was on the committee that put it together, and am now working with students and staff to move forward with it. I would also be happy to answer any questions that I can.
Because of the conferences I was unable to find time to update the Blog on Wednesday. I am also still trying to catch up on the marking from a few weeks ago. Regardless, I will do my best to have everything updated by Monday.
7-01
- Have a novel for tomorrow
- On Wednesday we began looking at the First Nations Jigsaw Project. We will continue working with our Home Groups on Monday to finish up some of the preliminary research. If you were away we will fill you in on Monday.
8-04
- We continue working on the Italian City States Brochure. You should have about half of your preliminary note taking done for Monday. However, you will have some more class time then to work on this.
