Monday January 30

There have been some concerns by a few students regarding the ability to catch up with their work. I would like to remind everyone that I update the online marks as soon as I have completed my assessment for each activity. I also make every attempt to record whether or not an assignment was handed in the day it is due and update the online marks to reflect this. It is the responsibility of the student to check their online marks and the homework blogs.

7-01

  • Stamp project deadline has been extended until Monday February 6. However, you will only be given one or two more periods of class time to work on this.
  • I am glad to see that the majority of you were able to hand in your letters today. I will do my best to have theses assessed and back to you within a reasonable amount of time. Please understand that I will be taking a closer look at your planning, first draft, second draft, and your published copy. All of this takes time especially when it is paired with a rubric that is unique for each of you based on who you completed it.

8-04

  • Textbook questions are due tomorrow, Tuesday January 31. Please see earlier posts to find the questions that are required to be completed if you have not already done so.
  • For Wednesday please come with the first/rough draft of your essay proofread and edited by yourself. We will be continuing the writing process on this day by having your peers proofread and edit your work as well.
  • We began looking at at timeline that conveys the essence of timelines but with a more modern twist. We will talk about this further tomorrow.
