- Today we continued to explore Canadian identity by focusing on stereotypes, generalizations, and racial tension that existed and continues to exist within Canada. We looked at the “Hockey Sweater” both in written and in visual form and talked about how French Speaking Canadians were being treated or thought about during the time of this story.
- Thank you for bringing in your $5 bills to look at. Also take a look at your $10, $20, $50, and $100 bills as well as your Canadian coins to see what sort of symbols are present on them.
- Please remember to bring in your novels tomorrow.

- Tomorrow is the last day to bring back your field trip forms. If they are not brought back tomorrow then you will not be able to go as we have to book the seats at the theatre. A number of you have brought in forms but no money. Please remember to bring in the payments as soon as possible.
- Please have a printed copy of the second draft of your persuasive essay so that we can continue with the writing process tomorrow.
- Think about your timelines. You will be given one period of time each day this week and also likely one on Monday too. We discussed a reasonable due date and it was decided to make this Wednesday February 22.
