8-23
- Continue to work on your assignment. After some discussion the due date has been changed to Monday, January 21. Thank you for working hard and using your class time well. I am super impressed with the quality of your work.
9-27
- This is everything that we discussed today about the project. Since no one wanted to give me feedback about how to approach the project I will making up the expectations for the book adaptation and getting it to you by Friday.
-
- Finish reading your novel by Tuesday, January 22, or Wednesday, January 23
- Take the number of days 7, or 5 if you are not reading on the weekend, and divide this by the number of pages or chapters that you have left to read. This will tell you how many pages you need to read each day. Make sure to consider everything else that is going on in your busy schedule.
- While you read take notes on the plot, characters, and setting so that you will have information to use when you create your children’s story.
- One you have finished reading you can begin modifying your novel to be better fit with the younger audience.
- You will then begin to write the adapted version of your novel. As part of this you will be handing in your notes, all planing/outlines, and at least one draft, along with your published copy.
- This is due on Tuesday, January 29. Again, plan around everything else that you have to do.
