Robotics 8A
- We moved ahead with developing our robot building and programming skills. Most groups progressed to the sensor stage of this activity.
- Remember to start thinking about what projects you may want to do as many of you will be starting this next class.
Robotics 8B
- We discussed how our designs cannot have zero thickness or else they will not print.
- The students continued working on their duplicate projects and those that were finished began designing a personal accessory.
- Your duplicate projects are due today by midnight. If you forget how to hand it in then please take a look at the post from last class.
Robotics 8C
- We did the HTML Part 2 Assessment. I have not had a chance to look over it but from what I could tell I feel as though more of you were prepared.
- We then spent some time beginning to look at Scratch. I asked you to do the basic tutorial on there so you feel more comfortable with some of the tools. You may want to create an account so that your work is saved.
Robotics 9 A
- Today we had our epic robot battle and also the obstacle course race. I was impressed by the quality of what some of you were able to do with the time you had to work on it.
- Remember that saving and sharing items with me is now different. If you are handing it in on Google Drive please create a folder (Name – Class; eg. JeremyL-9A), share it with me, and then simply put all of the work that you are going to be submitting in this folder. If you hand in an assignment late then please email it directly to me. Once I have checked it I will put it in your folder.
- For next class you are to do an appraisal for the work you had done up to this point. For some of you that will be the battle or obstacle course and for others it will be the EV3 Skills Checklist. Please look at the bottom of the second page of the file that I shared with you for some guiding questions. You can get to it directly through this link if you are logged on to your CBE Google Accounts.
- Since our time today was rushed I will go over the design, appraisal, and articulation process again next class.
Robotics 9B
- Wednesday, November 6 was take your child to work day and as a result we had very few students in class. Some students worked on their projects while others organized and sorta some of the old kits.
Robotics 9C
- We did not get as far as I wanted so you will have about 15 minutes next class to finish your robot before we have our battle. We will continue on with the rest of our plan after that.
