  • Continue to try and gather information for your persuasive essay. I know that some of you are finding it difficult to think of the types of information that you can find. I encourage you to think of what information do you need and then go from there. Remember that there are, at times, two people to help you in cthe class so make sure that you are using this help.

  • “Charter of Rights and Freedoms” booklet is due tomorrow, Thursday, November 22. You were given 3.5 periods of class time to work on it as it was given to you on Thursday November 15 so this should have been more then enough time to complete this. If you are behind then I recommend that you try to look at how you are using your class time.

  • I am very disappointed with a number of you today because you did not take the last three or four classes when we were working on the Bill to Law Jigsaw activity seriously. As a result, for many of you and for most of the groups, todays debate about the bills was a huge failure. Please understand that I am not just giving you work to do because I want you to do work. Everything I give you builds together to help you develop a greater understanding. Think about this as we  move forward.
  • Make sure that you have at least one of your poems up on the Class Blog Site as there are still some missing.
  • If you have not yet inputed your information for the Results Reporting please do so. You can find more information about this in yesterdays post.

  • Italian City States project – Remember that you do not have to make a brochure as long as you can put everything you need to in to it. You should be closer to finishing your research by the end of tomorrows class as that will be the fourth day you have been given time to do this. I will discuss with you the due date tomorrow.
  • Persuasive Essay – We will not be completely finished this until sometime next month. The reason for this is that there is still a great deal of work to be done especially when we consider the different stages of the writing process. Right now you should be trying to gather information that will support your opinion.
  • The quiz on the names of your classmates and if they have siblings has been postponed until tomorrow. This gives you one more day to figure this all out.

  • Make sure that you have added at least one of your poems to the class blog site by tomorrow morning.
  • Come prepared to discuss your bill. Remember that you should be an expert on your bill as well as your expert/specialist role. Each of you has something different to bring to table so be prepared.
