Some students are already starting to fall behind. Please go to the marks section of the website to find out how you are doing so far and also what you are missing or should be redoing. Remember that it is your responsibility to keep track of your marks and assignments not your parents or mine.

• After looking at the amount of time we have left I have decided to change the date yet again for the Canada Fair Project. Everyone is working hard in class and there is still lots to be done so the due date is now Wednesday Sept 30. Remember that you will have tomorrow’s class as well as class on Monday and Tuesday. Please make sure that you are constantly checking the assignment sheet and rubric to ensure that you are getting everything done, and done well.
• Please try to remember the routine so that we can get started with are day a little bit faster. If you are not sure of what to do or what is expected please take a look around or else come and talk to me.
• Your first Reading Response Journal is due next Wednesday. Please make sure that you are at least starting to think about how you would like to approach your entry. If you are unsure of how to start please come and talk to me.

• Please make sure to check your marks online to find out how you are doing and what you are missing. To be honest I am rather disappointed with some of your effort so far as it has been minimal especially considering how much class time I give you and the small amount of homework you have had.
• Your first Reading Response Journal is due tomorrow.

Remember that tonight is Meet the Teacher so I hope that you are all going to bring your parents to check out your classrooms and the amazing work that you have already been doing.

• There are a number of students still needing to return SUTP books. Please do so ASAP so that we do not have to remind you. Also, please make sure that you are getting all forms back as some of you are still missing some.
• Have all of your notes finished and at school tomorrow for your Canada Fair project as we will be looking at them. You will have time tomorrow to start working on your Canada Map Puzzle Piece as well as starting to plan your Canada Fair Presentation. Be aware of when the presentations are so that you are prepared to sell your province or territory to the other students in the class.
• Remember to record all of the books you are reading, finishing and discarding in your Reading Log. Also, you first Reading Response Journal entry is due in just over a week on Wednesday September 30. If you are having difficulty getting started please let me know and we can work together on the first one.

• Continue to get your head around the elements of Worldview and the factors that effects ones Worldview as this is the focus of the Social Studies Program this year. Try to figure out the movie we began watching and all of the factors that are effecting Truman’s Worldview. We will continue this tomorrow.
• Some of you are forgetting to hand in assignments so please make sure you keep up on this so that you do not fall behind.
• Remember to record all of the books you are reading, finishing and discarding in your Reading Log. Also, you first Reading Response Journal entry is due next week on Wednesday September 23. If you are having difficulty getting started please let me know and we can work together on the first one.
