October 31, November 1, & 4

Robotics 8A

  • We began working on learning some basic skills and how to program the NXT robots. Next class we will be continuing where we left off.
  • Only one of you read the homework blog from last class. Remember that you need to get your Fastest Robot Reflection to me by Monday, November 4. If you are handing it in on Google Drive please create a folder (Name – Class; eg. JeremyL-8A), share it with me, and then simply put all of the work that you are going to be submitting in this folder. If you hand in an assignment late then please email it directly to me. Once I have checked it I will put it in your folder.

Robotics 8B

  • We continued to work on the Duplicate project and some of you seem to be struggling a bit. This is due on Wednesday, November 6 by midnight. If needed you can use class time on Wednesday to finish this. Please remember the new way of handing things in.

  • We completed, some more successfully than others, an assessment on some basic HTML coding. Students then worked on the next set of tutorials (6-13) which they will be assess on next class, Thursday, November 7.

Robotics 9

  • Today you began, or continued working on your Sumobots or Obstaclecoursebots. You will have a bit of time next class to finish them but then we will be competing for the other half of the class.
