November 15, 18, & 19

Robotics 8A

  • We began working on finishing off the NXT Checklists. Those of you there were finished start to plan your own project. Try to have this finished for next class so that you can use the most time possible to work on building in class.

Robotics 8B

  • You were given more time to work on your accessory project. It should be handed in by the end of today, November 18.
  • I introduced your final project that you will be completing over the next three classes. Your design needs to show the proper use of the following tools or skills:
  1. Line tool
  2. Freehand tool
  3. Arc tool
  4. Rectangle tool
  5. Circle tool
  6. Push/Pull tool
  7. Follow Me tool
  8. 3D Text tool
  9. Text tool
  10. Push/Pull an arc
  11. Push/Pull a rectangle
  12. Push/Pull a circle
  • Please make sure to label one example of how you used each of these tools or skills in your design.

Robotics 8C

  • You should have had enough time in class today to finish the “All About Me” Project. Remember to hand it in do the following when inside your program:
    • Click on File, Download to your computer
    • Save the file on your desktop and then upload it to Google Drive.
    • Put the file in your folder. Make sure that the name makes sense so I know what I am looking at

Robotics 9

  • Some of you finished off your reflections as many of you were missing them or did not hand them in properly.
  • You then began working on the planning/design of your own project. I recommend that you finish this for next class so that you have the most class time to work on building your bots.
  • When handing work in using Google Drive please make sure to name your files in a way that identifies what they are. For example your reflection/appraisal could be named “Robot Battle Reflection,” “EV3 Checklist Appraisal”. This makes it much easier for you and me to understand what the file actually is. If you upload a file then you need to keep the ending (.doc, .pages, .pdf, .jpg, etc) Also, if you have not read the Homework Blog posts for the last two classes please read over them as it explains how to hand in your work.
