- Did not see you because of the Grade 6 Orientation. We will continue to work on the Scratch assignment when I see you again.
Robotics 8B
- Continue to work on the second stage of the NXT Skills Checklist. If you are finished I recommend that you come to the next class with your design/plan ready to go so that you can discuss it with your group and then get working on it.
Robotics 8C
- Another awesome class as you continue to impress me with the quality of the work that you are doing and the way that you are helping each other learn.
- The Prototype assignment is due on Thursday, March 14. If needed you can use class time on Thursday to finish this though the time is intended for you to begin working on your final project.
Robotics 9A
- We began using Scratch as an introduction to coding and I hope that you can transfer the skills to your other classes.
- You were asked to go through the tutorial to learn some of the basic skills. You were then given a choice of two assignments. This is due on Thursday, March 13
- 1.) For those of you finding this concept difficult you are to complete the “All About Me” introductory Scratch assignment. The purpose of this is to have you start figuring out some of the tools. Below are the criteria for this.
- At least 3 things about yourself
- At least one clickable thing
- An image of yourself
- At least one movement
- At least one custom sprite or background
- At least one sound
- Another way of interacting with your presentation
- 2.) If you need more of a challenge then please create a story in Scratch that includes a variable, and input, and also a function.

Robotics 9B
- Today we starting playing around with some basic HTML coding using the website Codecademy. You will have more time next class as I was told that there were issues with the internet. You should have been able to complete the basic HTML tutorials 1-5. There will be an assessment on the information covered in tutorials 1-13 on Monday, March 17.
Robotics 9C
- I was impressed by how well the majority of you worked today. I hope that you are enjoying this.
- This was the second period given to work on the Scratch assignment. It is due by Wednesday, March 12. For more information about the assignment please see the post from last class.
- To hand in the assignment click on “File” “Download to Computer” in Scratch. Then upload this file to your Google Drive folder that you have already shared with me.
