7A, 7B, 7C

  • Students reminded to check HomeLogic to find out if they are missing assignments or have received an I or ED on any section of an assignment. We are working on mastery and therefore the students are not allowed to move on until we take a look at their learning.
  • Planning / design work for name tag assignment was due this class.
  • Students explored Scratch, an online visual programming language to continue our introduction to programming. Those that will continue with Scratch will be given a mini challenge, and the rest will continue working with HTML

8A, 8B, 8C

  • Students finished working on challenge to create a prototype to improve something at Tom Baines for students and/or staff.
  • Students reminded to check HomeLogic to find out if they are missing assignments or have received an I or ED on any section of an assignment. We are working on mastery and therefore the students are not allowed to move on until we take a look at their learning.
  • Began name tag reflection: Who you are, Who you made the name tag for, What you did (include details), Why you designed it the way you did (most important). This is due.
  • Some students then began working on using basic CAD software called Tinkercad through a site called Project Ignite

9A, 9B, 9C

  • Students finished working on challenge to create a working prototype/model to solve a problem at Tom Baines.

  • Some students starting thinking about a project they might want to take on this year.
