- We began working on the SS Final Project today. Because of a few interruptions you will be given some extra time. We will discuss this tomorrow so please remind me if I forget. I want to make sure that your long range plans are as accurate as possible.

- Today we continued working on the “Quality of Life Comparison and “Quality of Life in Canada” activities. Please remember though that these are actually referring to Standard of Living which can also be considered “quality of life indicators.” Here is a link to the Citizen’s Report Card Booklet.
- You should be finished the first activity and should have completed part 1 of the second activity for tomorrow.
Robotics
- Make sure to use your time wisely because there are not many classes left and some of you have not really done much on your projects.

- Make sure to be ready to pick your country for the Social Studies final project as we will begin working on this tomorrow.

- Make sure that you are caught up with all of your work, including handing in your Reading Response journal that is due today.

- We are going to finish the song analysis presentations tomorrow, so please be ready to do this.
- You will also be selecting your country tomorrow for your Social Studies final project. Please come with a list of your top 10 choices and we will use the random name generator to select the order.

- Some of you are working incredibly hard and some of you have shut down. Please think about how you use the remainder of your time between now and the end of the year.
- Tomorrow we will finish discussing the “Food Around the World” activity and then you will be given time to complete the Quality of Life Comparison that we started with some definitions.

- Song Analysis will be presented on Tuesday, May 21 since there is no school on Friday or Monday. Make sure that you are ready to go.

- LifeSkills
- We are beginning our Human Sexuality unit tomorrow. Therefore, those of you that did not get your forms in will not be participating and you will be given a separate activity.

- For tomorrow please come prepared with the list of the food and liquids that you consumed over two days (Saturday/Sunday, Sunday/Monday, or Monday/Tuesday). Please also bring grocery store flyers as they are needed for this activity.
- Since you are missing one period on Thursday because of the Zoo field trip, we will have to have a very productive day tomorrow.
- Wednesday, May 22 is the due date for your last reading response.

- Today you were given some time to read with a reminder that your next Reading Response being due this Wednesday, May 15.
- Continued to work on the Songs = Poetry assignment. At this point you should have began your analysis. We will be presenting these on Tuesday, May 21.

- I hope that the first part of the LA exam went well for you, and if it didn’t then don’t worry about it as you have lots of time to figure things out for the other exams in June.
- For Wednesday’s class please come with a list of all foods and liquids that you consumed either on Sunday and Monday, or on Monday and Tuesday of this week. If you cannot remember back to yesterday then go with the later. Also, please try to collect grocery store flyers as we will need them for the next activity.
- Next, and final reading response is due on Wednesday, May 22.
Robotics
- Remember that there are only 8 classes left after today. Make sure that you are doing the design stage at home so that you can use the class time to build. You should be working on your own projects or else constructing a robot to compete in the Epic Robot Battle.

- Relax, and try to prepare for your LA Exam on Monday. Remember that you have been preparing for this since you started learning how to write. The best thing you can do is practice figuring out what the question is asking, and then creating a plan / outline to help you when you begin to write. Figure out your timing so that you are able to complete both assignments in the time given. Also, make sure you understand the format for a business letter.
- I was going to get you to do an activity over the weekend but I forgot to tell you. If you can, please keep track, by writing down, all of the food and beverages that you consume on Saturday and Sunday.
- Next Reading Response is not due until Wednesday, May 22.
