Friday September 3

It was great to see so many smiling faces on the second day of school. Everyone must have practised opening their locks because no one needed help which was great to see. I hope that the first week went well for everyone and if you have any questions or concerns please make sure to come and talk to me.

Please remember to return all of your forms as soon as possible and don’t forget about picture day on Tuesday September 7.

Thursday September 2 – Welcome Back

Welcome back to school. I hope that everyone had a wonderful summer break and that your first day back was a good one. I remember how much I used to enjoy coming back to school to see all of friends and to find out who my teachers are.

Please make sure to bring all of your forms home and to try and have them returned as soon as possible. Some of you may also want to practice opening your combination lock because it can be tricky at times. Remember to keep your combination to yourself and if you need help opening your locker to ask a teacher.

Look over your agenda / student handbook and make sure that you are familiar with everything in there. Also, record your time table into the agenda so that you can refer back to it.

See all of you tomorrow and if you need help with anything remember that I am usually at the school by 7:30 am and stay around to at least 4:30 pm.

I am planning on updating the teacher and student resource section of the site so if you have any amazing links to share for either please let me know.

Friday June 11

It is with deep sorrow that I am writing concerning the passing of Mrs. Sherrill Bakke, our School Resource Teacher. Sherrill passed away this morning after a courageous battle with cancer. A letter has been sent home with your child to further inform you of the tragic situation. You are greatly missed though your love, laughter, and spirit will always be a part of the Tom Baines Community.
