Thursday June 4

Remember that Tuesday June 9 is the last day to get in any missing work for this term. I will be doing my best to finish marking everything over the weekend so that the marks will be updated on Monday. However, you should be aware of what you are missing and already be working on getting it in.

7-1

  • Please complete the experimental probability corrections for the 100 rolls of the 20 sided die for tomorrow. There are only 20 calculations so it should not take that much time. Remember to show all of your work.
  • Remember to bring one shoe box for each group so that you will be able to continue your Living Object Needs Diorama.

7-2

  • Make sure that your persuasive essay is finished for tomorrow. You had the entire period today to make your corrections so there is no reason that it should not be finished.
  • All Current Events projects need to be ready tomorrow for presentations. You were given an extra day to finish these so they should be very well done.

Video Production – Final Project

Your final project is due by 4:00 on Thursday June 4. The following week we will be watching your work but I require some extra time to get them marked. Please make sure that you factor in filming and editing time.

7-2 – Persuasive Essay

We will continue working on your persuasive essays during the last few weeks of May and the first week of June. Please make sure to looking at your writing workshop book to use all of the skills oyu are being taught while working on your essay. It is important to work through and with your essay instead of rushing to get it finished. If you require help or have any questions please talk to us.

7-2 – Final Reading Response Journal

Your next and final Reading Response Journal of the year is due on Wednesday June 3. Please make sure that you are looking at the comments that we have written to try and improve your work. If you need further help or do not understand the comments we have provided then please come and talk to us.

We hope that you have enjoyed reading this year and have found the value in sitting down and reading a good book. remember that it is okay to abandon books and that you do not have to always enjoy everything you are reading. Also, do not be affraid to use journaling to help you reflect on your reading and any other work that you are doing as it helps you focus your thoughts.

7-2 – Current Events Project

You are being given pleanty of time to work on the Current Events project. If you are not sure what to do or if you would like help on this project then please talk to Ms. Sutherland or Mr. Lang so that we can help you. Make sure to look at all of the requirements on the handout to ensure that you are doing everything that is required.

7-1 – Translations Math Quiz

There will be a math quiz on Monday June 1 that will cover all of the translations that we have complete including rotations, reflections, slides, and symmetry. Make sure that you look over the work that we have done in class so that you will be prepared.

  • Finish Planet Earth questions for tomorrow
  • Complete symmetry math worksheet for tomorrow
  • There will be a quiz on translations on Monday June 1

Wednesday May 27

7-1

  • Finish the Planet Earth volcanoes and mountains assignment for tomorrow.
  • Complete the rotation math activity for tomorrow.
  • Make sure that you use your class time because many of you are ending up with a great deal of homework when you should have very little if any at all.

7-2

  • Come prepared to work on your persuasive essays as we have booked out the computer lab. Remember that your rough copies are due on Tuesday June 2 as we will be peer editing them this day.
  • Continue working your Current Events project as the due date is fast approaching. Many of you may want to do some of this work at home to ensure that it is finished in time.
