  • Finish the front of the “Algebra with Pictures” assignment. We will go over this tomorrow and examine the backside in more detail.
  • Work on your Archineer’s Den Project. On Tuesday we will begin presentations with our guest judges so you need to be ready to go. I will be collecting all of your work on that day after you present. Remember that your presentation should be brief and you need to only include the parts that you think are important. Use your props (3D models, charts, etc)

  • If you did not get your reading response in then make sure it is in by tomorrow as we will be marking them over the weekend.
  • Get caught up on your Documentary Project. Some groups are pushing along getting very close to being finished while others are still working on filming. At this point if you are not almost finished then you need to be putting in much more of your own time.

Web Design

  • You should have one website layout finished. If you did not have time to finish both then you will have more time next class.

7-1 – Archineer’s Den – Part 1

Part one, the thermal energy recycling system, should be finished by the end of class on Tuesday April 7. If it is not finished then this means that you are likely falling behind. You will be presenting to the judges beginning Tuesday April 14 so it is very important that you keep up especially if you want to win the prize money.

  • Some of you still have not handed in your website planning and layout assignment. Make sure that you upload it to the D2L dropbox so that it can be marked.

  • Please makes sure that you are working on your Archineer’s Den project because there is lots of work to do. The deadline is fast approaching and there are big prizes up for grab. Thermal Energy Recycling System section is due on Tuesday April 7 and the Building section is due on Friday April 10. You will be presenting to the judges the following week.
  • Finish both sides of the functions worksheet for tomorrow please. If you are having difficulty with the assignments right now or are not sure if you really get it then please come and talk to us because we are looking at the fundamentals of algebra.

  • Remember that your next Reading Response Journal is due next Wednesday.
  • Keep up the great work on the documentaries as you all continue to impress us with your hard work. Make sure that all members on your group or working on a section of the project so that you will be able to finish it on time.
  • We have had the opportunity to have Mrs. Ursenbach in our class room working with us to discover unique ways of sharing our poetry. It has been a pleasure to have her in our class as her creativeness is a welcome and a great inspiration to the students. Here is a link to the Better, Faster, Stronger, Harder video that we watched today and the Aqua and Pavoratti video we watched on Tuesday.

Web Design

  • Finish the Website layout activity for next class and make sure that you put it into the D2L dropbox. Remember that you can access D2L from home and complete it there if you did not have time to finish it today.

Video Production – Book Adaptation Project

We will be watching the Children’s Book Adaptation project movies on Wednesday April 1st. This is the only project we have been working on since the beginning of the year and therefore there is no reason that it should not be finished. Since this is the only day we will be watching the videos if they are not complete it will be very hard for us to mark anything that is not viewed this day.

  • Finish the math questions that Mr. P assigned as we will be going over them tomorrow and continuing them.
  • Think about the Archineer’s Den project as the time will go by quickly and there is lots of work to be done. You need to spend your class time working and you will likely also need to do some work at home.

  • Awesome class today. It was great to see everyone working so hard and so into working on the documentary.
  • Remember to bring your novels tomorrow.

Web Design

  • We will continue working on our Website layouts next class. Make sure that you are using all of your time to work on the assignments because some of your work has been below par considering how much time you were given.

  • Finish Science notes for Topic 7 and answer questions 1,2,3,5 on pg 247. You were given the entire period to finish and a number of students were able to do so. If you are not finished then please make sure it is done for tomorrow as we will be starting a project that you will need this information for.

  • Next reading Response Journal entry is due on Wednesday April 8.
  • We have begun the post production stage of our documentaries. If your group has not yet finished filming please make sure that you finish this on your own time as we can no longer provide you with time to finish during class.

Video Production

  • We will be watching our videos on Wednesday class. As a result everything needs to be completely finished as this is the only day we will be viewing and reviewing the movies.
