All marks have been updated for term three. Please take a look to ensure that I have not made any mistake on any of your marks that you are aware of where you currently sit.

Remember that school starts tomorrow, Monday March 30th and there are three months left in school.

  • The students were notified today that they can hand their Percent Projects in tomorrow if they would like as the school will be open until the end of parent teacher interviews which is noonish.

7-2

  • Most groups finished the filming of their documentaries today. We will be working on editing them when we return from Spring Break. If you were unable to finish filming then it must be completed on your own time.

Remember that you are allowed to spend between $3500 and $4000 before taxes and after the discounts. There will be a prize for the student in Grade 7 that is able to save the most amount of money. If two students use the save the same amount of money then the student who has purchased the most number of items will be the ultimate winner. The due date for this project is Thursday March 19. You will have class time on that day to work on it also.

  • If you are behind on the Science work that we were working on in class today then you may want to do some of it at home. However, you will have class time tomorrow to continue working on it.
  • In Math we just started our Percent Unit project. By the end of today’s class you should have had your items picked out with your prices. Remember that you are allowed to spend between $3500 and $4000 before taxes and after the discounts. There will be a prize for the student in Grade 7 that is able to save the most amount of money.   • Thursday will be the last day for filming as we would like this to be finished before Spring Break. Some groups have been working very hard while others are falling behind. Please make sure to use your class time wisely.
  • Next Reading Response Journal entry is due tomorrow Wednesday March 18.

Web Design

  • You should have finished off your first website. If you have not done so then you are behind and this will be a problem as we will be viewing everyone’s sites during our next class.

Marks Section Fixed Yet Again

I apologize for the ongoing problem with the Marks section of the website. However, I believe that I have now fixed the latest problem that was not allowing the pages to load and all should be well. If there are any issues with any portion of my website please contact me so I can fix them to ensure that Mrlang.CA is in tiptop working condition.

Apparently, the Marks section still does not work from the school, so when I make it home tonight I will take a look to see what the problem might be.

  • Please finish the Sales Tax and Commission activity for tomorrow. You should be almost finished it an therefore there should not be much for you to finish at home.
  • We will be starting our Percent Unit Project tomorrow and the due date for that is Thursday March 19 though if you want to come to school on Friday to hand it in you may.

  • Reading Response Journal is due this Wednesday March 18.
  • All filming for your Canadian Documentary projects must be completed by the end of the day on Thursday March 19.

Video Production

  • All filming should be finished already but Wednesday’s class is the absolute deadline.

Marks Page Fixed

Some students were having difficulty logging into the Marks page and for some their marks were not being updated. The problem has now been fixed and the marks are updated to the end of term two. I will start posting term three marks after parent teacher interviews.
