No school from Thursday February 12 to Monday February 16. Make sure that you have completed all of your work and that you are ready to go on Tuesday February 17.

  • Please come and get help if you are having difficulty with fractions or do not understand a concept. You may have started noticing that if you miss or do not understanding something from one topic then the next topic is almost impossible to do.
  • Thank you very much for your participation in our debate today “How Old is Too Old”

7-2

  • Continue working on your Canadian Documentary scenery, prop, and costume sketches.
  • Next reading response journal is due on Wednesday February 11.

Video Production

  • You will be given Tuesday’s class to try and finish your scripts. Some of you spent much more of your time working on your sketch than others so some of you may want to work on your script at home so that you are able to finish it by the end of Tuesday’s class.

7-1 & 7-2 – Science Fair Projects

Your Science Fair Project is due on Friday February 6. Please make sure that you use all of the class time you are given to work on your projects as they can be quite the undertaking. Also, do not be afraid to ask for help or support if you need it from your teachers.

Remember that you are going to need to bring any of the supplies or materials that you require in your project. The school will be providing a large cardboard trifold to be used with each Science Fair Project.

The Science Fair will be on Monday February 9th which is why we are asking that the projects are at school on the Friday.

7-2 – Storyboard & Scripts

Your scripts and storyboards are due on Friday February 6. You should have enough time to finish both sectoins in class time. If you were not able to finish during class time then it is important that you find a way to use your class time better. You may also want to start doing more work at home to get caught up.

  • Make sure that you have your Science Fair project done, ready, and at school for tomorrow. If you have talked to me about an extension to Monday then please make sure that it is done and ready to go for Monday as we will be have our fair on this day.
  • Finish any questions that you may have had regarding adding mixed numbers and improper fractions for tomorrow.
  • There will be a Math Quiz on adding and subtracting fractions including mixed numbers and improper fractions. There will also be questions on the quiz similar to those on the first quiz. The quiz will be on Wednesday February 11.

  • Your scripts and storyboards are due tomorrow. You have had more than enough time to finish both of in class time.   • Please keep thinking about poetry and any ideas you may have to help you in your writing of it.
  • Also, please remember to bring your novel every Monday and Wednesday as there are more students that are forgetting to bring their books.

Web Design

  • I wanted to say how impressed I am so far with all of the students in the Web Design class and the amount of effort you are putting into your assignments. Keep up the good work.
  • Please finish the “What Makes a Good Website” assignment for our next class.

  • Start thinking about which industry or product you would like to research for your assignment.

  • Today was the last official day to work on your scripts and you should have taken them home to work on them if you were not finished. If you need time you can have time tomorrow though you should be working on your costume, scenery, and prop sketches. Your storyboards and scripts are due on Friday February 6.

Web Design

  • Please make sure that you have taken a look at the websites created by the students from last term.
  • Finish your discussion question in D2L for next class please.

  • Today was the last day to work on your Science Fair Projects at school. Remember that they are due on Friday and that you were given close to ten hours of class time to work on them.
  • Please bring your Fractions quiz with you to class tomorrow as we will be going over it.

7-2

  • Tomorrow will be the last class time given for you to work on your scripts.  It is expected that you complete them on your own time after this. Your Story Boards and Scripts are due on Friday February 6. We are not collecting them until Friday because you will need them to work on the Creative Director portion of the project.
  • Make sure that you are holding onto any of the poetry that you are writing at home or at school as you will need it for the final poetry project. Many of you are really starting to get into your writing which is great to see. If you are having difficulty then try to see how you can delve deeper into your thoughts, feelings, and ideas.

Video Production

  • Start thinking about which children’s book you would like to use to convert into a script and turn into a movie.

  • We have decided to allow the students to work on their Science Fair Projects on Monday as well to ensure that they are completed by Friday and that they are of a high quality. Therefore, it is important that you bring all of the materials that you need on Monday to continue working on your project.

  • Tomorrow is the last day that class time will be given to work on your Science Fair Project. The project is due on Friday February 6th as we will be setting up the displays for our exhibition on Tuesday February 10th.

  • We started converting our story boards into scripts for our Canadian Documentary Project. Please make sure that you are thinking about these at home.
  • Please remember to bring your novel/reading material every Monday and Wednesday as there are more and more students forgetting to do this.
  • Next Reading Response Journal is due on Wednesday February 11.
