  • Designs of the Future projects are due tomorrow. You will be given around fifteen minutes to finish up any last minute items that you may need to. Your group will also be expected to provide a small presentation on your conceptualized 3D design.
  • Converting Fractions practise should be completed for tomorrows class as we will be going over it then.

  • Try to finish your “Where Poetry Hides” list for Thursday’s class as we will need them for inspiration. Remember we want you to focus on specific “things” not ideas. You should be able to explain what or what your “thing” is important or memorable.
  • Make sure that you are remembering to read at home and that you are bringing your novel to class on every Monday and Wednesday.

Video Production

  • Thursday’s class will be the last one for you to finish your editing. If you are not done by the end of the class then you need to have everything finished and ready to go for our class on Monday January 26 because we will be watching them on this day.

Monday January 19

Marks are updated as of Sunday January 18th. Those of you that have an NR or a D it is most likely because you have failed to hand in a number of assignments.

  • Reducing fractions sheet (front side a,c,e … and back side b,d,f ….) is due tomorrow. It is very important that you come and get help if you are not understanding something.
  • I am worried that many of you are not understanding things but for some reason you are not coming in to get help. If you do not want to say something in class then send me an email or give Mrs. Knight a note to put in my box or something but please get help.
  • Designs of the Future group project is due at the end of class on Wednesday January 21. You will have tomorrow’s class and possibly some of Wednesday’s class to work on it if needed.

7-2

  • You should be working on your story boards at home.
  • Please make sure that you are handing in all of your work as some of you are falling behind.
  • I am worried that many of you are not understanding things but for some reason you are not coming in to get help. If you do not want to say something in class then send me an email or give Mrs. Knight a note to put in my box or something but please get help.

Drop of Doom Project is due on Monday January 12. No late assignments will be accepted because the DDRA will be running their tests on this day. (Parents, please talk to your children about this project as it involves the possible destruction of eggs.)

Friday January 9

7-1

  • If you did not hand in your Math Integer Calendar today, and if you have not yet talked to me and arranged an alternate hand in time, then make sure you get it in on Monday because it will be one day late and you will lose 5%.
  • Drop of Doom structure is due on Monday January 12. It needs to be in class that day because we will be testing them and that is the only day we will be doing it. I will be brining the eggs so do not worry about trying to carry an egg to school.

7-2

  • I am a little bit worried by how most of the groups for the documentary project have been working. Remember, that you had the option to create your own groups and Mrs. Sutherland and I explained what was needed and what you should consider. Please make sure that you are close to finishing reading your section or finished it for Monday because everyone should be working on the questions by now so if you are not then you are behind.
